My wife bought me a new GoPro HD Camera a couple of weeks ago. These thing is awesome. Very small and you can get it with several different mounting options. It has a water proof case and captures video in 1080p.

I used the head strap mount this afternoon at a local USPSA Action Pistol match. This is the first match I have shot in over year. I was pretty rusty but the camera footage is killer.

I used it last week at the pool with the kids too. They like to watch this one over and over.

Hope you all enjoy!

Funny you should post that. We have been using these a lot for Season Three. You will see some cool stuff from them this season. They have some cool applications for TV - limited, but cool.

GoPro has offered to pay us for selling their products on the site. I don't want to pimp out the site, so I am thinking of creating one page where you can buy from these companies who are not official sponsors of the show.

Many companies, GoPro included, have offered to pay us affiliate commissions from sales generated from our site. Have hesitated to do so, but with our traffic and the options is creates, might consider it.

Not sure if guys would do buy from those merchants, so it might not be worth the headache of a separate page needed to prevent the rest of the site from being polluted with ads. But, maybe guys would buy from that big list of vendors to support the cause.

Thinking if we do this, I would split half the commissions for our costs and half would be put in a fund for our best conservation organizations.

Cool video. I would be lucky to hit one target with a handgun, and it would probably be a target next to the one I am aiming at.

Randy is that the same type of head camera Troy had me wear on the Heli hunt? Kinda had a fishbowl looking lense.

Yup. Same fish eye affect. They have some that can eliminate that affect, but for Point-of-View camera, you almost want that fisheye affect.

The same one I was wearing in NM for the archery elk hunt (but battery died before the time of truth). Used it a ton in Alaska, and also some in the NM rifle elk hunt.

Takes some getting used to, for sure. But, I am ordering some more and will work on new ideas for Season Four.

Randy, have you considered any of the hunting ones...I have a Stealth cam Epic...that was what the elk hunt was filmed on. Wild Game has one too.

Those do not have the picture quality that the GoPro HD has, or at least not according the the pros over at the production company. We have tried some Panasonic POVs and mostly use the Canon POV. These smaller GoPros are the best intersection of size and quality image.

Randy - These cameras are pretty cool and take great quality video for sure. I'd like to see some of the footage you guys have captured using it. I plan to take mine to Wyoming for Elk this year.

Brandon - Those epic cams are decent at best but for another $100 or so the GoPro is killer. Youtube condensed these videos from 1080p to 320p, you should see the quality when playing the raw video.

Wingman - There is some good air footage on the GoPro site. The sound quality is pretty good to 180 mph.

Very cool video!

Hey Chris, remind me in Wyoming this Sept. not to give you any back-sass if you are carrying your sidearm.
