WTH!

Web version is junk. I have hundreds of KML/KMZ files. Shape files, etc. More than a decades worth of cyberscouting data.

Have not found one single desktop user who thinks this is a good thing.

There are exactly zero reasons to switch to the web version. GE Pro desktop will continue to work as it does today for years.
Mac users may have a harder deadline with the Rosetta 2 fade.

And if you plan to use GE Pro desktop with a new PC, download and save the installer before it goes offline next year.

really is too bad that there aren't any other mapping apps out there that do e scouting real well and can import data...

Until it doesn't.

I ported mine from a WIN 10 laptop to a WIN 11 gaming system.
It was awesome for about a month, now won't open. No support from Google. Just the dumbass web AI.
I'm an IT guy and I've taken it down to removing it from disk and cleaning it out of the registry. It still won't load even in safe mode.

Ha!

Apparently "wait two weeks and try again is the answer. It just opened in less than a second.
