I’m not applying for elk this year, as my daughter and I are focusing on her getting our family’s first ever antelope in WY. But I always enjoy reading posts about people drawing a tag that they didn’t expect, or learning a new area, so good luck to all. A buddy and I are starting to build a few points in preparation for hunting elk in MT or WY in a couple of years, and will probably just focus on either sex or cow tags, as the experience and delicious meat are more important than anything for us. I look forward to reading all of the questions, advice, and adventures this season, and it’s just about to begin!
