I was supposed to get married on September 15th. I don't own a bow so that leaves me out on most elk hunts. We were going to take a 2 week trip to Italy. We have postponed the wedding until TBD. We are still taking our 2 weeks off but instead of Italy we are going out west and spending a few days here and there. One place we are going to is the unit I will be hunting the first week of November. So is this a bad thing not getting married and going overseas or a good thing taking a trip out west and she wants to go.

I believe congratulations is in order!! Though marriage isn't so bad, Italy is overrated. Now if you had said you're missing a trip to Costa Rica....that would be a different story!! Have fun visiting your unit and make it count!!

When my wife and I got married in 1984 I got her to postpone the wedding date to Sept. 8th. She wanted to get married on Sept. 1st but I told her dove season opens EVERY year on Sept. 1st and it would be forever a sore spot for us.
