We will be staying in glasgow the 2 week of November for a Buffalo hunt and looking for ideas to do for the rest of the week we are there. I read the trout fishing is good below the port peck dam and will probably try that but I am open to anything. Any suggestions on fishing, sight seeing or even left over tags? Thanks

Bring your shotgun, the bird hunting is decent, and your long John’s. I’ve been hunting there in mid November it was well below zero and the wind was blowing 25. Good luck on the Buffaloe

Not sure if they’ll be ice covered by then, but home run pond right in town and the base pond just north of town were just stocked with some decent size trout a couple weeks ago.

Fishing below Ft. Peck is a seriously mixed bag if you're fishing from the shores for trout. Yeah there's trout but there's a ton of pike and walleye down there, too. They're all usually pretty good size fish, though. The guy who runs the Lakeridge tackle shop up on top of the dam is very nice but if you aren't fishing from a boat for giant trophy this and that, he doesn't have much to offer, so try to be prepared before you get there.

Anyone who tells you to fish under the bridge where the water enters those swimming hole dredges is not your friend. And that pond that's labeled "trout pond recreation area" on the Google maps down there is also full of pike.

Stop in at Dad's Bar in Wolf Point for a drink and a snack if you've got the time. Good folks in there.

You got that much time you could drive up to St. Marie the cold war era ghost town north of Glasgow.
