I thought it would be kinda cool to learn a bit more about each other.

I'm a retired Army Combat Medic with combat tours in Desert Storm, Bosnia, and Iraq. I was wounded in Iraq by 2 IED blasts and now I get to hunt and fish for a living, thanks to the VA. I have 3 sons, 13, 12 and 4. They all fish and my oldest shoots the hell out of a long bow and has shown an increasing interest in hunting. I go to college at the local community college. I'm just starting out from scratch. I love to fly fish and mostly bow hunt. I grew up in Upstate NY and have lived in Colorado for about 5 years, but I'm moving back to NY this summer. I'm going on a bowhunting trip to South Africa in the summer of 2012, and am in the early planning stages of an elk/deer/bear hunting trip in Idaho for the fall of 2013. I'm addicted to bowhunting antelope. And I have an amazing fiance who lets me hunt and fish and spend all the money and time I want to on both..lol

I am in my early 30's and have a great wife and wonderfull 2yr old son.I grew up in SW Wisconsin and lived in the carolinas for a couple years and moved back to Wisconsin about 11 years ago.I hunt when I can and enjoy spending my summers in the boat. I work in a glass factory and have been there for about 11 years. I am on a few different prostaff for some companies but am thinking of going back to being a free agent. thats about it.

I'm 45 yrs old, spent three yrs in the Army right out of high school. Moved back home to Northern California and worked in a redwood sawmill for 14 yrs. The hippies tried to shut us down so I moved my family to Colorado 10 yrs ago, been working in the oilfield every since. Been married for 18 yrs have two sons, the oldest is in the Army and the youngest is a senior in high school. We love to hunt and fish and just spend time outdoors. Wish we had more time for what we like but I work a lot of hours so we do what we can.

I'm Cliff and I'm a "Holic" that's what this thread feels like...lol I'm 33, have a fiance that loves to go outdoors with me. I have two children (boy 8, girl 11) who both claim when they are old enough want to hunt, just not now:rolleyes: I have worked in grocery retail pretty much all my life. Moved from Florida to Colorado in August '09 to be closer to my kids who were moved out here by my ex. I grew up hunting whitetails so I'm learning about this western big game as I go. I love being out here other than being away from my entire family and the freezing arse cold. any other questions ask:hump:

I'm 49, married and have two grown kids. My son and I hunt together. My whole family loves fishing. I have lived in North Carolina my whole life. I run a grading company. I hunt every chance I get. When I am not hunting, I am thinking about hunting.:D

I'm 35 and originally from WY but have spent the last 20 years in OK, huge downgrade in quality of people and hunting opportunities. Peope are somewhat suprised that we do have elk, antelope, and bear hunting on OK on a limited basis unless you are on private land. Recently sold my boat dock construction business and am taking the year off to make up for what I ahvent been doing the last 6 years, spending wime with my family, 3 year old and wife, and hunting. Graduated from OSU in 2000. Managed to go 11 for 16 last year on deer and antelope with my bow and gun, and got a bobcat. Last year hunted WY, NE, KS, CO, IA, and OK. I have a lifetime license for OK so I get to hunt everything but bear for free. Switched my drivers license to another state last week for better hunting opportunities as a resident. As a part time gig am currently building furniture from recycled wine barrels and making a cheaper alternative to the "skull hooker" for hanging european mounts which will be out shortly.

I'm 55, married for 30 years with 3 daughters. Started working at a cheese factory out of high school. After 2 years joind the Navy and served on USS McCandless FF1084. After Navy got job back at cheese factory and have been there ever since. Guess I'm a true cheesehead.

Am diehard Packers fan. Usually on our wedding anniversary the wife and I make the trip to Lambeau. Oldest daughter is lifer in the Air Force and my hunting trips usually take me to wherever she is serving. So far that has been Texas, North Dakota, and this year if I get drawed take my first trip to Montana to hunt elk.

Other than that I have trained and run dogs in field trials. 1989 National Gordon Setter Open Shooting Dog Champ was my dog dillon. Now I spend most of my time bowhunting whitetail in Wisconsin.

Im in my late 20s. Married with two kids. I grew up in west central Wisconsin hunting whitetail and ducks on the mississippi river. My wifes from Kansas and thats why were here. There is decent hunting opportunities here but the fishing blows. Hopefully we will end up closer to the mountains or somewhere with a little terrain before too long.

24 from South Central Wisconsin, 1 son. I've been a linemen for the last 3.5 years, somthing I had wanted to do since I was 14. Most days I can say I enjoy my job, especially storms, the danger, challenges and everything else about it really makes you feel alive some days. I'd been a duck hunter and gun deer hunter, but never really put much effort into it, by a stroke of luck shot a great buck 3.5 years ago, from that moment on I decided that I was done with school, I was starting to make money, and things were really starting to come together, that if I took some time and put some real effort into big game hunting, it'd be something I'd never regret. Picked up a bow for the first time and fell in love with that. Now 365 days a year, I've got hunting on my mind, and always working to better myself, whether thats researching, planning, training, working out or whatever, just looking to get a step ahead. Mule deer and Wisconsin whitetails are now my passion, being from WI, mule deer hunting was just a dream I read about in magazines, I caught an episode of Eastmans a few years back, orderd the magazine, climbed that wall, figured out what it'd take to get a tag, and it wasn't some far and away dream anymore.

im rob, 35 and im from mississippi. i grew up in my family's archery shop/ deer processing place and was hunting deer with a bow when i turned 8 years old. i got my first bow kill at 10. i was the youngest in the state to kill a deer with a bow, until the very next year my lil brother killed 3 at the age of 8. lil stinker! my grandfather was the inventor of "the pod", a poisoned balloon cylinder to aid in a quick ethical kill for bow hunters. he was also very tight with fred bear, whom i remember as a kid visiting with my grandpa at his home. i am a journeyman lineman for nv energy and reside now in virginia city, nv. i love to hunt muleys, whitetail, elk, birds, and coyotes. i dont rifle hunt at all, as my heart is all into bow hunting. i havent carried a rifle in the deer woods since i was 17. im married to a sacramento gal and we have a lil boy, robert preston herrington, 5th! well, thats about it!

55 and seem to always make it back to settle in NC. Never really left the Marines, just kinda stepped aside to let the younger bucks show their stuff. Joined during Vietnam & deployed for Desert Storm. Started out as an E-1 spending my sumer at 17 yrs old playing on Parris Island, and fought my way up th Chief Warrant Officer -3.

Divorced, 1 son 18, who just got accepted to De Paul, with an academic scholarship. I've figured out Something to hunt over about half the world I visited !! Where there is a will....

I'm a BMOC Auditor for a major firm and travel daily throughout this Great Nation of ours, but mostly the SE.

DON"T ask me about a 7mm/08, or a 30/06, I'm strongly opinionated and Not afraid to express it !

Good Hunting, Good Women, and Good Beer to all my friends !

38. lived in AK for 16 years or so. Spent 9 years in the Marines and they brought me up here for I&I duty. I just never left.

Married, 4 month old daughter. I'm a Heavy equipment mechanic and I love custom mausers. My latest is a 375H&H (which I still need to find a good piece of wood to put it in) and I'm working on a 7x57 that eventually I would like to pass on to my daughter.

I wouldnt trade this state for the world.

My name's Ron, going on 68, married to the same woman for 48 years, two children and 4 grandchildren from ages 16 to 6. I served in the USAF for nearly 9 years as fire control tech (radar and bombing computer and sight assy.) on the F-105 and A7D. Spent my overseas time in Japan, Okinawa and Thailand with a few short trips into Vietnam to patch up shot up aircraft so they could be flown home.
My wife is from Denver and we called that home for 15 years before I conned her to NC. Now she wouldn't leave for love nor money. Didn't hunt the west for too many years, but finally got to Wyo this past year and got a couple of goats and relit the flame. Since retiring ten years ago from the private sector I've worked for myself and other contractors at stone masonry, historic stone restoration, finish carpentry and most of the building trades, made furniture, learned to fly and bought into a plane. Recently have started collecting guns more so than in the past. I especially like Mausers and just bought five Saturday as well as an L.C. Smith sxs made in the 20's
I hunt and fish for just about everything found in NC and come from a long line of devoted outdoorsmen. If Moosie doesn't mind me bragging on my oldest grandson, you can watch a few minutes of him on Youtube under the heading: (Bailey Tyner Highlights 2010). If you like football you should appreciate this. Thanks, and I'll shut up for now.

I am a sixty year old farm boy married to my sweetheart for going on forty years. Today I am poor in the bank, but rich in the things in life I so much enjoy, my sons, their wives and my grandkids, my bird dog, and my century farm/ranch, where I enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets known to man. I love habitat work for the animals, which include lesser prairie chicken, bobwhite quail, pheasants, turkeys, mule deer, whitetail deer and elk.

God Bless,

I'm a 28 year old husband, father of a 19 month old girl and I have a son due in May. Because I love Jesus, I volunteer a lot of my time to church. I play bass and occasionally guitar, designed and maintain the church website, and organize the weekly presentation with lyrics, scriptures, and announcements. I hunt with my older brother. Neither one of us has ever hunted out of Missouri, but that's about to change. For a career, I manage an out-patient imaging center and perform MRI and CT. As a side note, I'm an amateur radio (HAM) operator. Call sign is KD0JJS.
