Gear list of mountain lion hunt??

Well, I made it back from CO. It was a grind of a trip and hunt. The travel out was good but the way home was a race to beat snow the entire way. I did get a nice female lion on the morning of day 5. It was a very tough hunt due to the weather. It would either snow all night or rain during the day. We were up at 1:00 most mornings looking for a track. On the last day we finally cut one and the dogs had it treed in 2 hours. The climb up the mud was a mess but I was able to do it.

As far as gear, I feel like I was prepared. The only thing I would do different would be with my boots. I had Crispi Colorado boots and they were not 100% water proof.

The must have items are:
trekking poles
water proof bibs for riding atv/snowmobile
ski goggles
water proof mittens for riding atv/snowmobile
parka
pack
boots
weapon
light base layer for hiking

Like any hunt out west, be prepared for bad weather and for everything you own to be covered in mud and water/snow.

BTW, the lion fell out of the tree and went straight down a mud slide into a muddy creek bed. It was a mud ball when it was all over.
