Anyone compared the Caribou brand with the T.A.G. brand? They are pretty much the same price.

Okay, T.A.G. bags are 24"X44" according to their website weigh 18oz for a set of 5 bags.

The Caribou brand bags are a little larger 28"X48" and according to their website their "Elk and Caribou" set with 3 extra bags (20"X12", two 30"X23" bags) weighs a whopping 2.94lbs!

Do they really weigh that much more? They come with I.D. tags and ties, but surely they really don't weigh that much do they?

The Alaskan game bags don't list a weight but my recollection is that the 4 quarter bags weighed pretty close to nothing.

TAG bags aren't mouse proof. That's the only downside I see for them.

But I'm cheap & use pillow cases & trash bags

I seem to recall seeing some holes chewed through some overnight once. I'll have to invite myself to go with you again sometime. Good times.

I'm using Big Game Bags as well. Wife got me the full set for Father's Day. They are INCREDIBLE. You won't be dissappointed.
