Thanks for the replies. I haven't bought any yet, was leaning toward Kuiu but was shopping around still. I wonder if gator hide would be good for making gaiters???

If you wear them in Colorado, people will assume you're from Texas and may figure you for a steer or a queer.

Yes in that they keep your pants and socks dry, but no they don't add insulation.

Anybody have any feed back on Kenetrex gaiters??

I have Kenetrex gaiters and love them, I haven't tried any others so I can't speak to them.

I highly recommend gaiters has others have mentioned, extra protection, keep your pant legs tucked, great in snow, definitely keep lower legs/feet warmer and drier. I find them well worth the extra weight that they cost you. They also keep a lot of the sticky things off your pants and boots.
