This year the full moon falls on Sat Sept 29th. 2 days before the Oct 1st gun opener in eastern WY. What's your guys thoughts on the full moon on mule deer in Oct ? Most years the mulies leave the alfalfa fields at 1st light at leisurely work their way back to the bedding areas in the surrounding breaks. So far I have hunted only 1 other full moon period for WY Oct. gun opener. That year it seemed like there was very little movement at 1st light. All the deer seemed like they had left the alfalfa & were already bedded up BEFORE 1st light. Have you guys had similiar expierences ?

Be out around the bedding areas around mid day. Not sitting in camp.

I've found that weather patterns influence animal movement MUCH more than moon phase.
Find them in their beds and kill 'em there.
