Panic buying (akin to ammo hoarding) is running a small portion of the big rack suppliers (wholesale gasoline terminals) short. One of the six terminals in Dallas went dry. Back to fairly normal here in North Central Texas but prices are steady rising. Prices and shortages to ripple all the way up the eastern seaboard to New York. The national average is predicted to rise to 2.75 and some places gouging. The Colonial pipeline (big refinery pipeline) is supposedly back to normal today (Sunday).

Thursday was crazy here with log lines of frightened motorists topping off....eery really. I got out before sunrise Friday to gas up my wife's car and there was already noon hour traffic with 1 in 3 stations out of gas, long lines, and cash or debit only at jacked prices.

Yesterday wasn't near as frenetic but Lord help us if there was a real catastrophe. I can't begin to imagine what the people in Houston are putting up with.

We are high and dry 400 miles north of Houston near the Oklahoma border...
