For sale is a stainless steel 22" Rem/Age barrel from Preferred Barrel Blanks. Chambered in 30-06 Improved (40 degree shoulder) with hexagonal fluting and a 1-in-10 twist rate. Very simple to install on a Remington 700 long action receiver in your own shop with minimal tools. Very accurate with 150gn bullets. I've put about 250 rounds through it.

Since we're friends here, I'm going to give you the skinny. This is a very accurate barrel, but it's a little short-throated. My original idea behind this build was lobbing heavier bullets out there at elk or moose sized game, but with shorter freebore it's difficult to get the velocity I wanted with 180 or 200gn bullets. As previously stated it shoots the heck out of 150's , particularly seems to like Barnes bullets. In the right hands this would make a terrific medium-to-large game hunting rifle.

I'd like to sell it for $500, but I'd consider serious offers. I also have a Hornady Custom Grade die set for it and PTG go and no-go gauges if interested.
