Football General Talk

I only watched the last bit of this game, but neither team impressed me as being Super Bowl quality. Obviously, conditions are beginning to suck, so that may I explain it.

I hope i'm completely expect the next game to be much better.

What? They were the two best teams left in the AFC. Sometimes it amazes me how you think about football. mtmuley

They may be the two best in the AFC. I'm not sure I agree with that, but I won't argue it. But neither of them are, in my opinion, nearly as good as the two teams that are about to play.
That's the point of the games Brent. Pay attention. mtmuley

How so? mtmuley
Incredibly expensive, and required a long term contract. If the rest of the team was younger with years of team control in hand it might have made some sense, but the vikings were one of the older teams in the league with needs at multiple positions.

I wouldn't have assumed McCarthy could start for another year.

Jones could have been had more cheaply for a shorter contract, but he want a legit chance to start...vikings should have given him that, didnt, so he signed with Indy for less money than the Vikings offered.
