Again, top 10 pick, would probably be a top 5 pick this year, if not first overall. Lotta upside there.I don't see JJ stepping in and doing what Jayden Daniel's is doing this season in Washington.
You don't bring in darnold or jones to teach McCarthy anything. Darnold was brought in as a bridge QB who had a magical season. Jones is another rehab project. They're not being brought in to save the franchise, or to teach the young QB. Thats why they hired a guy who is a former QB and has a track record of working with and developing young quarterbacks.Also, is Darnold or Jones the right guy ahead to teach and work with JJ? Obviously with the injury I'm sure he didn't get a lot of the same type of mentoring from them in that locker room.
