Been working hard last couple days, tilling, prepping and planting my spring food plots on the farm. Did four big plots totaling about 3.5 acres in soybeans and another four plots totaling about 1.5 acres in sunflowers. All of my trails have lots of white clover, so the local deer have a real smorgasbord in addition to the natural stuff.

About August or September I'll put in a couple plots of purple top turnips. Those can be a real deer magnet in late season.

What do you spray to knock down grass and broadleaf weeds ? I have had great results with IMOX… end up with a clover carpet !!!
OK, nothing. I tractor rototilled the snot out of it last fall, laid up all winter, did it again early spring right after frost, then again about 3 weeks ago. I prob should but I get 2-3 years of decent plot. It's not very big so I just keep it down this way. It's on my property so under direct control. I will have to think about control the older I get. Though right now looking darn good with simple red and white clover.
