That can happen to residents just as well. Especially now with the California infection running rampant in the Rockies. I'm a non-resident, yet I am more able in the WY wilderness than a majority of WY residents. Between a life of deep backcountry hunting, and 23 years as an Army Combat Arms NCO, Combat Lifesaver, & Military Mountaineer, I have most of the knowledge to guide, much less DIY hunt the wilderness. It's a local business support law, period.Just read about two non residents in Idaho that hit the SOS button and had to be rescued. They were found less than a mile from their vehicle and it wasn’t even wilderness! Imagine if they had attempted a Wyoming hunt
