I am looking for recommendations on a budget friendly, decent but not amazing, fluid head for glassing with a 2.5lb spotter. It’s for my upcoming moose hunt in AK in an antler restricted area, so something that won’t drive me crazy during long glassing sessions and can lock down tight and be stable enough to count brow tines either through the spotter or phonescope pics. I’ve seen good reports on the Sirui VA5 which is only $130 on Amazon. Anything have a better bang for the buck? Or has anyone upgraded to a high end model and have a good enough one taking up valuable closet space?
