Fishfinders view???

It will show directly under the transducer on the screen. So if its a transom mount, it will show under the rear of the boat. Almost all depth finders just show directly under the transducer except Bottomline, which has sideways capability.

It seems a true fisherman would go about it with intuition, the right gear, and a want for the knowledge on how to find them on ones own merrits...Maybe they should just go fish in the fish ponds or hatcheries....LOL!!!!

Ok you all talked me into getting the x-71 I believe it was. It will be awhile before I can get it, but thats another story.

Anyways my question is this, If it says it is a transom mount, which way is the screen showing? The reason I ask is someone told me that it would show me only behind the boat. Is that true? Exactly where under the boat will show on the screen?
