Well, they always told you that as you grow old time flies by so fast... I realize now that they weren't kidding. My son just turned 3 last month so we decided to buy him his first fly rod. He's come along with me and enjoyed it, so I thought he could try using his own fly rod... instead of breaking the tips off mine.
Grandpa came along and was more that willing to help him out as I took some photos. What a great time! Now, he can't really cast but he can throw a nymph and weight a good 5 yards. So, Grandpa and I hooked a couple and let him have some fun. I've got some great video of him but I haven't had the time or desire to figure out how to post it- but I really enjoy watching it.
Man, let's here it for digital cameras! I only wished I had one while growing up- being able to show my son all the things we used to do.
