First pair of binoculars recommendation?

I got to look through a pair (18x I think) on a recent hunt. I really liked them. Very impressive in windy conditions and those times when you can seem to find a stable platform.
The only downside is the glass is pretty meh overall. I’d like them with Razor glass or better.

First pair choices usually come down to 8x42 mid-range binoculars, since they balance brightness, field of view, and ease of use without overcomplicating things. Models like Vortex Diamondback HD, Nikon Monarch M5/M7, or Leupold BX-1/BX-2 sit in a strong entry-to-mid tier and tend to hold value well. Buying used can make sense if condition is verified and warranty is transferable, especially with brands like Vortex or Leupold. For browsing options and learning specs, https://binoculars-telescopes.com/ is a useful reference.

Swarovski, leica too, Check out used pairs or demo if you want to save money. As long as the glass isn’t scratched they will last forever.

As the title says - looking to buy my first pair of binoculars sometime here in the near future. Looking for recommendations, willing to pay a decent price but also not looking to break the bank. Any good FB groups or websites I should be looking? Is it worth buying a used pair? Thanks in advance - gearing up for the big move to WY
What part of Wyoming are you moving to? I’ve hardly used my nl pure 12x42’s since I got my 16x42 sig image stabilizing binos. I dropped the sigs several times last fall and cracked the glass🤦‍♂️. Sig sent me a new pair even though it was my fault. During the time I was waiting for the new pair I ran with my swaros. They’re definitely better in low light or off a tripod, but if I had to choose one pair I’d go with the image stabilizing binos. I hate to admit this😂 If I was strictly a mule deer guy or coues deer etc I’d probably go with the better glass and tripod.
