Jumped on the raghorn express and put my tag on my first bull!

I hunted hard on Saturday, covering more than 11 miles, and saw nothing more than couple day old sign. There were a few shots, but not nearly as many as you'd usually hear on opening day. On Sunday I decided to start at the bottom of a drainage, and work my way to the top before sunrise. I was a couple miles in and almost to the top when a whiff of elk scent hit my nose. I looked up the steep hillside and saw some cows working their way across the top. I checked my watch, and I was legal by 5 minutes, so I started picking through them to find a bull. Finally I see antlers, and when he stops, I fired. Hit him solid, but he just stood there. I rushed a second shot, and center punched him, but he turned and fell over backwards almost instantly. I'm stoked to finally have my first bull on the ground. He's a small raghorn, but I couldn't be more happy.
