monday was south carolinas opening day.i took my second oldest son and quick draw out in search of swamp whitetails.no one saw anything in the morning but on the evening hunt quick draw saw a doe and 2 fawns and at 8:20 2 small bucks walked out and i had a shot at the bigger one.i hit him in the back knees and broke both legs  . i got down and found him a few yards in the woods trying to get up.this wasnt a big buck but it sure was a tough one.it took 2 shots to the neck to kill this deer. another larger buck was killed that night about the same time as mine and that is the other deer in the picture.

Thats kinda what I was thinking, was that the only shot you had, or was your sights that far off?

Still have 20 days till our archery season starts.
