First bird of the year

Got my first gobbler of the year this morning. The place I am hunting is polluted with turkeys. This guy came in with 4 other jakes. I normally pass on jakes and had intentions on passing this one up as there were two mature toms working their way down the logging road right to my setup. The jakes came in first and this one spotted me, so he didn't make it out of the field for spooking off the big ones

After I got him on the ground, I was kinda glad I did shoot him. It is the first gobbler I have ever shot that had two beards. Pretty cool.

Wish I could go. Had certification class yesterday and today had a shutdown unexpectedly and tomorrow a planned shut down to install new valves. Gonna have to wait till Saturday. Cool bird though never killed a two bearded bird congrats.
