After about 45 minutes I was certain I was going to die before I crossed the finish line. I'm battered, bruised, and finished near the bottom of the pack but I got it done! I'm gonna sign up for next year so I have a solid goal to get in better shape. (unless you count round as a shape)

Maybe we can start a HuntTalk Team.

Congrats! I'm tired just thinking of what you did.

I would be even more impressed if you had completed it rocking the green outfit the lady is wearing in the 'after' pic... ;)

Congrats on finishing! I'm doing my second Tough Mudder this weekend here in IL and I've realllllyyy been slacking on getting ready for it. It's gonna be rough. If I lived in MT I'd run with ya next year.

The gal in green is a Spartan Race Elite. She caught up with us and interviewed us while we were finishing.
Cool. While I've not done a race like this, I have done a few sprint distance triathlons. It's pretty nice how 'cool' some of the old hands are to the beginners.

That said, I really just want to see you wear that! ;) :D

I ran the Warrior Dash last year at a place about 2 miles from my house and it was rough, and long. My now 16 yr old daughter talked me into it. . .it was great and I thought since I had dropped about 60lbs, that I wouldnt have a problem. . .I was wrong. . .strong out of the gate and if any pretty girls were close, but, at the end I was dying!!! I finished, not first and not last so it was a success!!! we had a ball!:)

Congrats on finishing. I too was there and it was my 1st Spartan Race. I thought it was great having my "cherry" popped in my home state. I was beat but felt good. I'd be down with the team gig.

Mthuntr, not trying to jack your thread but thought I'd throw some pics up of a few of the race components that we had to deal with. They say that it is one of the hardest Spartan races in the country. Tons of very steep hills, rock walls, and a few cold creek crossings.

So, let's get this straight. 4000 people run this chaotic race. You stand there at some moment in time, snap a pic of ME dropping that stupid bag of sand, then put it on hunttalk. What are the odds? Seriously!

What are the odds indeed. That sand bag sucked, and right after the rope climbs. Then that long a@@ hill climb. From the rope climb to the hill was the toughest of the whole race I thought. Next one is in Washogal Wa, who is with me on running that one???? I'm addicted to these races now.

Wow, there are quite a few pics of me that are pretty funny. "don't hit me, don't hit me"
