Joined to post to kansasdad's entertaining and educational Ft. Riley Elk adventure! As a relatively new (2018) adult-onset hunter (late 40's at the start), I wish I knew elk hunting was so close to me in KS! Now I am moving from KC to TX, it looks like small-bodied whitetails are a large part of my hunting future. I still like the looks of what's to come!

@Theostudent get your lifetime Kansas license while you can. You will be able to get OTC deer licenses, and apply for deer, elk and antelope tags just as if you were a resident.
