It's been a long 14 month month wait but the boys are back together again for the first time......'05 Archery Mule deer and '06 archery Coues whitetail....

This may sound dumb but just what is the coues deer?? Is it a cross between a blacktail and whitetail??? Nice mounts also.
 
Thanks boys- Having them around will help get me through the dog days of summer that's for sure.

Ridge- A coues is also called the "grey ghost" they are just little ol' desert whitetail, not a cross bred anything. About the size of a German Shepard, their range is from AZ to NM to old Mexico. That one will go almost 80" which would be about the equivalent of a 150/160" Mule deer I'm thinking. Cool little animals, tougher than hell to hunt..... I just happened to dumb up on that one......Pretty much like everything else I whack with the bow.......
 
Congrats! I really like the Coues! They are on my short list of critters to chase. Hopefully I'll be heading to NM or AZ in the not too distant future...fingers crossed and praying to the draw gods!
