Few critters I found on prairie dog towns this morning...

The main point of today was to inventory some burrowing owls and I did find a few. This guy is stretched about as far as he can go.

I don't see these guys that often, but there were three long-tailed weasels on this small prairie dog town. I got video of one doing quite the jig. I will see if I can upload it. This guy was carrying a few ticks.

This guy was my favorite today. I got in pretty close and wasn't sure if I could beat him back to the pick-up if he decided to give chase.

I got in close to wipe his nose, but chickened out in the end.

Reminds me of my first year of hunting in Montana....

I had one of those little dirt devils wander with in 20 feet of me digging after rodents...

A lot of fun to watch, you see dirt and debris flying as if hit with little bombs, flying in all directions for 40 feet, grunting, and a mouth full of dinner as the end result...
