Went out to try and fill my doe tag yesterday. After humiliating myself and whiffing on a very make-able shot, determination got the best of me and I followed the herd. 4 miles later, I got a second chance albeit at much longer range (about 450 yds). With no wind and a nice prone rest, I fired and my doe ran a little bit before getting wobbly legged and tipped over. Upon cleaning her, I noticed only one bullet hole and luckily found it in some lung tissue. I assume the significant range prevented full body pass through. I shoot a 270 win with 130 gr fusions.

I think thats the first photo I've seen of a recovered Fusion. Looks like it retained its weight pretty well.

I agree it did hold its weight well. More interesting to see would be a retained bullet found from within 200 yds to see what happens.
