February 20th, 2026 Tick Tock

I am with you. I am seriously considering dropping out of the western states points/applications money grab every year and using that money to save and fund trips to Alaska. The return on investment in the lower 48 seems to have deteriorated. I have high hopes for Feb. 20

High hopes myself. But have plan b if not. We shall see. Some other states should take some notes on draw entry fees

Coming up in 4 days the drawing Alaska draw permits. Also not sure if I am a sucker this year or not. But I have been buying the raffle hunts as well. Anyone else getting raffle tickets. The Caribou deal with all the gear would be awesome. Of course I wont win but worth a shot. $38,000 to shoot 2 caribou is a bit much but if you win it who cares. I guess the other question is does Alaska have the same tax on prizes as PA. In PA this "prize" would still cost you a crap ton in taxes

Won't be me...despite the constant reminders and even being someone that reminded others; I didn't actually apply.

Though I almost bought a cancellation hunt on a transporter boat.

Atleast when Santa brings presents they are under the tree when you wake up so you don't check back every 15 minutes

Anyone selling a 14' boat with a small outboard in the Anchorage/Whitter area? I'm now in the market

DS 137 was a yes for me, after over 20 years of applying for sheep hunts and this being my first sheep draw, I am ecstatic.
Sweet tag!! I was just flying through the unit last week in a friends plane to go ski off of Eagle Glacier. We saw one band of 5 rams, one of which looked legal or damn close to it. PM me for more info on where, I would happily share.
