Fall Bear Season for Montana

Hi, Nice forum you have here. I enjoy the show, especially because alot of the hunting is done near where I live. I was curious, does anyone know if fall bear season opens this weekend for the South Side of Bozeman in the Galliton Canyon? I have heard that it does... the MT DNR website says Sept 15 though....

The area you are asking about (BMU 341), opens on Sept. 6.

Drake - thanks bro I appreciate the help! I have a Non-Res tag to fill yet and I don't become a resident until Nov. 1 so It gives me time to do some fall bear hunting. Then its on to the good stuff....

I love fall bear season. The bear in my avatar was a fall bear, and I still have my tag for this year too.
Hoping to catch up with this big fella.
Especially with that season starting a little bit earlier, find a big huckleberry patch and get it done.
