Pretty cool. I've seen documentaries in Europe where they used golden eagles to hunt wolves.

Falconry is just way, way too cool. However, I'm pretty positive I don't have the patience and time to do it.

Do a youtube search for golden's hunting wolves. Those Mongol birds are bad-a$$es.

I hired a guy from england years ago and he brought over his falcon with him. I thought he was a complete dick for it, the bird had to sit in quarantine for 6 months, then spend most all of his time in a cage.

But, every so often he would bring it to work after work hours to hunt prairie dogs in the field next to us. It was friggen awesome to watch him fly and catch those fat rats. Wish that bird could eat more because that was a show I could watch everyday.

Davidson College is about 40 miles NE of me, and I think I've seen an article about her helping out at the NC Raptor Center which isn't far from Davidson. They are amazing to watch.
