Any of you look at the new issue yet? I covet the elk on page 31....can't stop looking. I could stop hunting elk if I shot that bull.

Decent tops...;)

The third is weak.:(

I do agree that I could stop hunting them after shooting a bull like that...to tell you the truth, I got 2 bulls that are way better than I deserve.

If I shot the biggest elk in the world, it wouldn't deter me from hunting them. I love everything about elk hunting. I love to eat elk meat too.

Good point, SS. I would like to retract that statement.

Here ya go Dink. Not the biggest in the world, but a nice one.

Thanks!

Yeah he is ok. I might stop the spotter on him for a second or so for another look. Might even walk across a meadow to pick up his sheds if it was under 200 yards or so.

I would like to shoot him AND then immediately start dreaming about the next elk season.

I don't think I'll ever give up on elk hunting. I go every 2-3 years and it's not nearly enough. And I've a really good archery bull.

Yeah, I'd like to be hidden in that treeline. He's kinda got a little spot where I'd hit him. Heck, if we're dreamin... I'll take the ram on page 63... Ed F

Most years, I use my tag, either by getting lucky in archery season, or by killing a bull early on during rifle season. Even though I have other tags in my pockets, I find myself going with buddies, family, or just nosing around by myself, for elk. I'm a elk hunter at heart. Pure and simple. I'm attracted to elk, and elk country, like bees to honey, flies to chit, or Greenhorn is to college girls.:D

Yeah.... definitely will never quit elk hunting!! But yeah...thats a great bull... beautiful... I have seen quite a few pics of others through the years though that I like better!!!
