Elk ivories in a euro mount?

I just harvested this guy and am going to do a euro mount. Question: do you tend to leave ivories in a European elk Mount? Yes or no?

I pop them out but I don’t see why you couldn’t leave them

My elk euros don’t have ivories.

I took mine out. No one is looking at his teeth, and they aren’t visible with him flush on the wall anyway.

I’ve had them fall out into the garbage bag while steaming it for a euro, and I threw the garbage bag away before I noticed. I would pop them out before you decide what to do with them just so you don’t lose them.

I remove them prior to the Euro process and don't put them back in, and they are not attached as securely as the other teeth.

As others have said, they just kinda flop around and will fall off during euro prep. But for anatomically complete head, just glue back on.

I pop them out. Like @Hunting Wife said, you don’t see them anyway when it’s hanging.

had the exact same thing happen to my bull last year.

I have some with them in that i glued in after the euro was done and i have some without. just a slightly different look.

I dont hang my flush to wall i let jaw stick out a bit so you do notice them.

They turned out really nice and Autumn was easy to work with for the exact set i was looking for.

That's a great bull! Love the mass! I have all my euros done by a guy I know. He always puts the ivories in a sealed baggie and tapes them to the horns. I've never bothered putting them back in the skull. I just add them to the collection I already have.

I have no euro mounts but do have a zip lock full of ivories..........!

It’s a great way to not loose them. If you continue having success you’ll end up with a zip lock bag full of them until you start just leaving them. The nice thing about doing that is they would stay with that bull

i'm realizing after thinking about this that I think I actually would rather them be basically unseen on the wall, in the animals they belong to, then unseen in my drawer in the garage.

if you wanna make some jewelry or do something with them just go pop em out when the idea is fully matured. i guess use a not so super glue when you put em back in.

probably how i'll do it from here on out.
