Elk, deer die in frigid water at Lucky Peak

I went up to the "high" bridge (near the turnoff to arrowrock dam)
on SH-21 today. You can see elk all over frozen into the ice. What a shame...

John Rachel has asked if DHI can volunteer to “herd” elk near the Mores Creek Bridge. Each night there is two shifts, 6pm-12am and 12am-6am. If you are interested, call Kris at the Nampa office 465-8465.

I was up there this afternoon today as well. I knew it was bad when I read about it in the paper and saw it on the news but you just don't believe it much until you see it first hand. I am not sure how many have been killed so far but it looks like 80+ for sure. I was in awe that's for sure. Thanks for the update Moosie.

Wow, that's really bad.

Maybe there's a trophy elk in the ice.

Someone could save $8,000 if they went over there and retreived it from the ice.
