I planned on a spending a day or two up top fishing, maybe shooting some grouse and then heading west into the Basin for chukar.

First off, in my absence the past few days (a friend invited me to his Wy bird hunting camp), thanks to all that spent the past weekend monitoring the internet. Its a good feeling to know that while out in the field, others are taking up the slack by spending their time glued to the phones and PC's to take care of the "someone is wrong on the internet" phenomena. If only you could bottle, or perhaps, harness this energy for the sake of mankind! Frankly without your efforts, all would be lost. You're the unsung heroes of the web and without you, sites like hunt talk (and the dozens of other site you no doubt surveil) would collapse.
Look, if you think my complaints regarding the overgrazing and abuse of public lands is some hoax, have at it. I spent time on the phone with both the Western Watersheds Project and the Sierra Club, both entities have been documenting the conditions in the BHNF and will proceed with their commitment to force the authorities to address the situation. For any of you that drink Dayton or Ranchester Wy water, do know that that the fecal counts and e. coli are sky high in the Tongue watershed but hey, according to ya'all, couldn't be from cows shitting in the stream?! Though I wasn't on the east slope, I hear that you Sheridan WY tap water gulpers need to keep in mind that the Goose Creek water source is suffering from the same impairment

Before reacting with another misconception, know that I have crossed the Big Horns on different routes many times, have travelled the spine on various roads, have hiked, camped, explored the Wilderness and other areas, and have read and watched conditions over many years. Furthermore my BIL, an accomplished outdoorsman and lover of the Big Horns lives just outside Buffalo and monitors conditions and weather of that range firsthand every day.
Certainly there are and have been changes of conditions over the decades and the results are perceived differently by different folks, range management professionals or not. But to cast aspersions on fellow members of this forum is a piss-poor way to introduce yourself.

Theres an easy way to bring everyone up to speed with some of the same information, and if the allegations are true, its even more important its shared.
Its not that i dont believe you - i do. It's certainly possible. Its that you haven't provided anything to convince anyone else.

The sun rises over the Bighorns, and sets over the Beartooths, and Absorkas. The Bighorns are nice, but I like the Beartooths and Absorkas better.

Lucky for me those horns would damage the skirting on my single wide and the long hair would be full of burrs over night. Just not practical to have that highlander in the yard.

I'm curious what inspired you to join hunttalk? Did you join only to comment on this thread? You have only posted in this thread. Most people do an introduction and let people know who they are and what their hunting related interests are. There's actually an expectation that members provide hunting related comments and not just argue politics and insult longtime members that provide valuable content here. Also, you are only allowed to have one account, you can't just create burner accounts to agree with yourself. When a new account is created and then immediately engages in arguing about a specific topic and seems to have little interest in the rest of the forum it makes people think it's a burner/duplicate account.
Saying that antlerradar is a wannabe rancher....that is classic! All these years and he had us all fooled. To think he only had a Highlander and a chicken coop? Incredible! Well played @antlerradar! That is heavy sarcasm by the way.

I've yet to see one person on this thread say they are "all right with the out of control livestock grazing on public lands". I've seen several that either think you are full of shit, or that your version of out of control livestock grazing is very different than theirs.

Again conclusion is not logical nor reasonable. "Chamber" is riled up by the vitriol of unhumorous sarcasm.
I am adamant about your right to an opinion, but recognize it is not in concert with many others who are familiar with the Big Horn Mountains.
