Yesterday I finally became an emancipted EX. My son turned 18 and I owe NO legal obligation to the witch any further !!!! :p

Problem is...I find myself standing a little dumbfounded as to what to do for an appropriate (civil) celebration.

You guy's that have faced this moment toss in some creative ideas. And keep in mind the boy is going to DePaul this fall.......$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

man i cant wait for that day to come only 16 more years and we are golden my hunting budget goes up by another $1800 a month

I took my son duck hunting. But that was about 4 years ago, and earlier in the season. My best bet is to spend the child support money on a new firearm for yourself, just to keep the others in the safe company, and it can be one you plan to gift to him when he graduates from DePaul.

10 more and then maybe we can talk if you haven't figured anything out by then:hump:

Hang in there my Brothers. Your day will come....it will come !

As for me, I am lucky enough to start my New Life with a dinner date & movie, with Miss Robin.

Cross your fingers and hope she'll have more than just one glass of wine !!!!! ;)

My ex wife pays me every month :)

In WV you pay until the day before their 19th birthday.

Hookers and blow works for me.

You'll just have to go out every few years and find a woman you hate and buy her a house, lol!! Actually a Hunting Trip to Alaska for Moose/Caribou with some fishing thrown in with an adventurous female companion of your choice!!

Forget celebrating. Be a good dad, enjoy your son, and help him through college, and be thankful if all your kids still talk to you.

It all starts with the interview.

30 years and counting with the same ol' gal. :hump:

Bob's right; if there isn't more than enchantment during the interview, there won't be any enchantment some where down the road. My bride and I celebrated 48 on the 19th of Jan.,and still enjoy each other's company. Boy do I have her fooled.

My Son is 17 1/2, he will be 18 his Senior year of HS, and in NM child support doesn't end until the young adult turns 19 or graduates, whichever comes first. Problem is, the egg donor is trying to talk him into quitting school. I don't think she fully understands that she gets another 9 months of cigarette and alcohol money if he graduates.
Every other week I worry that it will be his last in class. :(

I have 3 more years and my child support will be cut in half, then in 6 years my son will be 19. At that time my wife and I will be going on a nice trip to Alaska!
