My wife’s baby sister has ALS. 37 years old with a five year old boy and she’s going down fast. It’s heartbreaking.

I have lived without electricity for a month or 2 at a time and the thing most missed was refrigeration. No freezer over the long term changes your life.

Certainly puts it in perspective even when you lose power for a few days. Lot of money over 3 freezers here.

Generac whole home generator. Best 8k I ever spent. I literally lose nothing during an outage. All the things previously mentioned like a/c, refrigeration, freezers, and lights continue working

I took my Mom’s prayers for granted. When she passed I ask my aunts(Mom’s sister’s) who’s going to pray for me. They looked at each other and reassured me that they had it taken care of!
