In the spirit of khunter's "one that got away" thread, let's see those that you got live photos of before the kill. I'll start.

2014 Wyoming Mountain Goat. Not the best pictures but I think it still qualifies.

Through the spotting scope from about 1,000 yards away at the bottom of the mountain.

After a long hike to find him and a couple shots later. Self timed photo into the setting sun. It seems like the pictures you want to turn out the best sometimes turn out not so good.

I don't think I have one pic of a live critter before I shot it. Maybe I need to slow down on the trigger.

Good guess! He was 28.25" inside. He was only a 4.5 year old and got significantly wider from 3.5 to 4.5. It would've been interesting to see how wide he would've been at 5.5...but not interesting enough to let him walk
