They had a system for making Bio-Desiel, very interesting. The system he was pushing made batches of either 20 or 40 gallons at a time every 24 hours. He showed from getting your French Fry oil to gaugeing what amount of Lye and Racing Fuel to thin it out for use as a fuel. I looked up the system and it retails for $2995.00, But there are others that offer a more basic kit (E-bay). He stated that he made his for around 70 cents a gallon. Would you burn it in your desiel?

I saw it and checked it out on the diesel websites. The guys said it was not a great system and they have a list of parts and directions to make a better system for a fraction of that cost. Look in the biodiesel forum on dieselstop.com. I would sure burn it but wonder how much grease is really available from restaurants. I heard the big chains are already selling theirs on contract. 70 cents sure looks good right now. Might be a good idea for a group in each city to get together to set up a coop system and share the fuel, pick up waste oil etc.
