Deer Mount for Boys' Room

Decided to take my recent muley and hang it in my boys’ room. Problem is Mrs. Pendleton relegates my mounts to the garage (which is fine since she supports my hunting shenanigans). So, I tried to do something different that would be more enticing to her. I wrapped the skull cap in leather and then attached it to some painted boards surrounded by a stained border. Pretty happy with how it turned out, although it is heavier than I wanted.

Turned out great! I'll probably do a few like that in the coming years, since I've started skull capping everything out of state due to CWD rules. Quick/easy.
