Deer - lets see em

Harvested him sept 18 2015 at 8:30 in the morning here in Wyoming, after a few days of raining he was out eating on some small aspens. Yes he’s pretty heavy gross score 230. 30” main frame and almost 34 to outside of cheaters.

Monday afternoon. I was kicking myself for not shooting a 3.5yr 3pt with just one antler for the meat on Sunday. It’s a tough unit. Previous hunts in that unit yielded a nice buck in the last 15 minutes of the last day, and a complete strike out after 5 days.49C97B00-068A-4A3E-9659-8C08CC9E2B33.jpeg69A6927B-9630-4764-966F-0B66F7EAF849.jpeg

Just got back from Kansas. Was incredible. This buck had a doe on lockdown and didn’t care at all we were there. Was 7 bucks on 1 doe. He fought them all off. E2DB8F25-61AF-4DED-86E3-67413D5D8928.jpeg
There were bigger bucks, I actually missed one with the 30 mph wind. But this guy wouldn’t leave the doe and let us get within 45. Then he died.
