Day well spent

I have three boys and my youngest is a junior. The other day we played hooky and looked for elk in the morning and ducks in the afternoon. It was a great day. My boys and I have always spent a lot of time together but as the youngest gets closer to leaving home it never seems like it was enough.

Some of my fondest hunting memories are skipping a day of school to hunt with my dad. I always let my kids skip a day here and there to go hunting. Hopefully they remember them when I am long gone.
