Custer National Forest Roads

Hey guys,
I'm headed to Custer national in SE MT this afternoon with my son for a couple days. I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea on road conditions. I have a side by side I'm toying with taking if roads aren't good. I'd rather not drag it over if the roads are in ok shape. Thanks for input

We didn't actually hunt the forest but we drove in on one of the main roads with a truck with no problem at all into the forest. This was last week. We didn't try any side roads. But of course it will all depend on rainfall as far as conditions go.

Right now the roads are frozen so you are good to go. Going to warm up starting Friday so some spots could get a bit slippery but for the most part I don't think road conditions will be bad.
