CPW study of citizen attitudes towards wildlife

Came across this and thought it was interesting. I'm not sure the categories of people were accurate. But a few things I noted:

1. Only 52% of Traditionalists agreed with killing a bear that attacked a human?! That seems unbelievable. I mean, the 19% of Mutualists is scary too.

2. No one likes the feds.

3. Not even hunters/anglers know that CPW is mostly funded by license fees.

4. It was interesting to note how close the different types were on a lot of the topics. Seems like there is a good amount of common ground.

Why the way you word a question matters...🤦‍♂️

Any guesses about what respondents would have said if the questions had been.

Obtaining your own food is often cited as a primary motivation for hunting.
I am supportive of hunting because of this idea.
I started hunting primarily because of this idea.
I do not hunt but I am interested in hunting because of this idea.

Yeah food has always been the primary driver for most people and is the greatest argument for hunting... nothing "Recent" about it...
