Looks like Harvest Right now makes a countertop version of their freeze dryer. I've seen several videos already and it looks like a winner for someone who does a little bit of meal prep but doesn't have the space for their larger units. Plus they have green. Might be time to ask Santa for an early Christmas gift

Finally sold mine last night. I have no idea what I did and what it didn't/wouldn't do. I could never get it to freeze. Kept getting air leak notifications on the screen. I've tighten and tightened everything I could find. Was happy to get rid of it. I went to canning.

I don't really have a reason to get one as a single person but it would be fun to freeze dry stupid things like pickles and fruit
Candy. Fruit.
Those seem to be the biggest winners. Friends and family love the dried candy. I am neither a candy guy nor a fruit, but, those are obvious winners from my perspective.

I'm fat and my doctor just gave me a lecture about some bloodwork numbers so I can't have candy BUT he did say to increase my tart fruit intake (stupid delish red meat and beer). I bet freeze dried green apples would be tasty. Maybe one night when I have too many of the beers I'm not supposed to drink I'll order one 🤣
