Cool find.

I like the old boxes and just brought a couple home from AK today. One is same as yours but 300 H&H. One is different and also 300 H&H. Both say $6 on the back. I will try to figure out what years they were used.

Mine is a 788 or 722. Can't remember. Probably the best shooting gun I own. Matter of fact anything remington I own from that time frame would probably make most guys shooting high dollar new stuff jealous.
A 722 would be awesome. I know a guy with two early 700's in .222. He won't part with either one of them. mtmuley
 
My brother has a BDL varminter from I am guessing the early 80s in .222. It is a sweet rifle and shoots good too.
 
Great caliber
It’s what I started hunting center fire with just groundhogs. Inherently accurate cartridge.
