I drew a second season deer tag, and was wondering if anyone has any info on the elk hunting in this unit?

You might check earlier threads. I remember seeing something about Unit 21--some very nice OTC bulls but rough terrain (packing mule was mentioned, I think).

There are elk there, but being as close to GJ as it is, there will be a lot of hunters, too. Not sure I'd want to risk ruining a good deer hunt by shooting an elk, though.

Thanks Oak for the input. Its more of an after thought, looking for that big buck first. I know the closer you get to GJ it can get pretty ugly, I think everyone in GJ hunts. Thanks again.
