Colorado Reissue strangeness

Checked the reissue list yesterday and there were multiple really nice elk tags on it. Units 2, 44, 61, and 76, large point type units. Thought this might be interesting to get online today at 11 am and try for a tag. My daughter did as well. She happened to catch the updated reissue list today at 10:55 am. All of those tags went missing from being announced yesterday to being available to the general public today at the 11 am release date.

Just wondering if anyone knows how this works? Seems odd on the surface.

That list was insane this week. I don’t have an answer for you, though. Maybe purchases at retail outlets gobbled them up????

The reissue list is moved to the leftover list at 11am. Cpw then batch imports them into the system to be sold. Most coveted tags are sold within seconds/mintues before the leftover list is updated. Therefore you never see it.

If you get a message not avail for sale it’s because there are no tags avail.

If you get a not enough quota message briefly it’s because those tags went on sale and then were put into carts and sold. That message will revert back to not avail for sale as soon as the quota of tags is paid for and no tags remain

Strange to publish a list on Tuesday showing the tags that will be issued at 11 am on Wednesday. And then at 10:55 am before the tags are open to the public they are scrubbed from the list. So I was just curious why they would be gone before the 11 am release?

I think there’s some issues with the fidelity of their list. There are some nice tags that have been on there every week in sets of 2 & 3.

Shows gone on day of sale then shows back up the next week.

Just odd.

So the tags are supposed to be available at 11 am for all 10,000 people to try for them today. Yet the list they republished at 10:55 am showed the tags gone already prior to being released. I have no issue with the very low odds. I just don't like the tags disappearing before they go to the general public.

So it makes no sense that they say on Tuesday that these tags will be available on Wed at 11 am. And then on Wed at 10:55 am they are magically gone. Be interesting to see who got the tags prior to them being released. Just seems odd. And not on the up and up.

If any of
There were probably 10,000 people trying to grab 2 tags. I personally know 30 guys that were trying for those 2 magical tags today….
If any of those 30 waited for 11 am when the tags were supposed to be released, they had a 0% chance as they were already gone. I guess my issue is if they say they will be reissued at 11 am, then they should be released at 11 am. Not released somehow before them via some other mechanism.

they don't say tags will be released at 11 am they say they will be released as close to 11 am as possible. Sometimes they get released before 11, sometimes after

Well that explains it then. They shoot for 11 am but it could be anytime in that general area. Makes sense now.

They pull the reissue list offline just before 11 and then that list gets transferred into the leftover list. The leftover list only updates every so often so all the good tags are sold before you see them on the leftover list. It has more to do with load times than anything else. Good luck, you’re gonna need it.

It’s challenging getting a zero point tag most weeks.

Dogs are actually happy. Going sharptail hunting instead lol.

naw… unless you mean the previous system to current one. They loaded tags for sale a couple minutes before he updated leftover list showed the tag. EWhat year did this happen?

I wouldnt be worrying about the lists during that time, but what you can see and potentially add to your cart.

Between inperson sales, bots and high demand its all a crap shoot. I havent gotten a reissued tag since 2020.
