I have tag 3 rifle season unit 17/171. Called this morning, my tag is non refundable. Used second draw. Half of 17/171 are closed right now due to fire Restrictions. No choice have to go

Hopefully these fires stop! Hate ruining such beautiful land.

They will stop when they have burned 100 yrs worth of bad forest management (fire suppression) and a few decades of drought and beetle kill. The fires are a necessary part of forest health that we have been kicking down the road for over a hundred years and I expect them to continue until we reach a new equilibrium. It's unfortunate when lives and homes are lost and when the fires burn so hot that they kill the soil, but it's inevitable.
