I’d bet a serious amount of cash that Eichler isn’t sneaking around on hunting forums trying to book hunts on a fake profile. I’ve only met him for a few minutes in person but he is a way more stand up guy than that.

Never said duping, but selling. 85 isn't exactly a unit you just hike into. Especially with those that control the private access.

Iirc, this was one of the first threads I found on here. And it still makes me cringe.

I’ve hunted RFW a few times for turkeys and once for deer (same group of ranches in the SE corner). Had nothing but excellent treatment and experiences. Some of the operators (that one in particular) are doing really good things for wildlife - more than a couple are not.

I also used to hunt every year very near one mentioned in this thread. Run into their staff on occasion. All good folks.

But I would vote to kill RFW in a heartbeat (and I am old and live in hotels most of the week, so my heart rate is faster than ol’ Wllm on a mogul run). At 1:1 public-to-private ratios as initially proposed? OK (but still wouldn’t vote for it). At current ratios and more or less being incentivized towards bad behavior? It’s horrible.
